Our Blog turned Spam/ corrected (I hope)

DCFA Brazil trip readers,

Tommy called me and let me know that our blog captured by a spammer and that everyone was getting tons of messages from me that were spam. I'm sorry.

When we went on our trip I set the permissions so that anyone could post to our blog (in hopes family & friends from home would send us messages while we were in Brazil).

I have turned that off; I have also turned off the ability for people to post to our blog with emails.

To post to our blog in the future, everyone will need my permission; please email me at my work email and I will grant you the permissions.

If this DOES NOT stop the spam. Please email me at my work email and I will look into it again.

A BIG THANK'S TO THE CABRAL FAMILY

A huge thanks to the entire Cabral Family. There effort to make the very first Floripa Cup 2009 a very sucsessfull event is very comendable. The entire time in Florianoplis was well managed from transprortation to practices, events and the meals everyday. We were able to taste a wide rage of Brazilian foods and most were very very good! Being the very first Floripa Cup was a great experience for all of the girls and families, I'm sure much was learned by all to make the next Floripa Cup an even bigger and better event!

DCFA Team USA 2nd place Floripa Cup 2009

Second place finish by the girls from DCFA, 3 - 1 loss. This was an excellent match by both teams. Totals for DCFA for the tournament 18 goals scored and only 3 goals allowed for a plus 15 GD. Both Coach Denison and Coach Tommy are very proud of the effort given by all of the girls. We never gave up until the final buzzer sounded, and as you can tell from the photo above the sting of placing second was short lived as simles from all!

Tournament Day one results

Day one tournament results; First game DCFA 7 Fucas 0, great game by the girls they really stepped it up against a tough team both keepers had excelent halfs with the end result a shut out. Goal scorers, Bridget with (1) Ayrton (2), Tori (4). The entire team played well together creating several opportunities. Game two DCFA 10 Opponent 0, another shut out by the DCFA keepers!!!!! Yet another brilliant game by the DCFA girls they worked the ball well showing good patience at times and creating a ton of opportunities for all. Your goal scorers for this game, Big Jenn (1), Ashley (2), Anna (2), Harmony (2), Tori (3). Both Coaches and the trainers are very proud of the day one effort. Next up Sunday 11am game FINALS!!!!!!!!!!

Early Father's Day Present

The dad's were given jerseys from a local pro team. They joked that they would have to be playing a game at six o'clock after the girl's game at 4. They were all soon fighting over bench positions. Most wanted left bench.

Sand Castle Contest Winner

Kirsten and I (Harmony) won the sand castle making contest and won a tee shirt. We only worked on this for 15 minutes!!!!
It has 25 bedrooms, 17 bathrooms, a stable to house your horses, 12 garages, a drawbridge, a moat, 6 machine gun nests (guard towers) and a great water front view, so beware when the tide somes in!!! Asking $2 million sand dollars, negotiable. Hurry won't last ;)
